Kent County, New Brunswick, CANADA
has to be one of the world's best kept secret. It is bordered by the sea to the east and is made up of small villages, farms, forest, brooks and rivers. I have lived here all my life and
would recommend it to anyone.

I am flying into Fairbanks---I have a good friend stationed at Ft Greely who is going to take me along on a caribou hunt, and also going to take me to Denali for a look-around.

Wow, amazing shots! But I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to be calm that close!

Chances are you will see Grizzlies in Denali I did. They are smaller but they are there. :)

Hi Craig,
3 sharp well exposed shots,
(I saw your Eagles also, more great shots)
IMHO ....#1 the Bear is a little too tight in the top left of the frame perhaps a little more room on the left side and above and a little less froground would show him off better.
In #2 the top of the photos I persume is a river? I think it is a bit distracting and looks a little like a road, again perhaps a crop, would show this big guy off more.
Just a small note if you like it as it is I don't mean to be too picky, but shots like this you are lucky to get once in a life time, the horizon slopes to the right,
All the Best,:)
Clare

We spent a month driving and camping in Alaska in 1999. The only bears we saw were in Denali. We saw lot's of moose, humpback whales and eagles but very few bears.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

I am going to be in Alaska in August, but unfortunately I don't think I will have the time or money for a trip to Katmai. Shame, your bears look quite a bit larger than the ones I saw in Yellowstone!

They tend to get larger from eating photographers. LOL. Great shots, but I'm sure I would not get that close.

A less expensive way to see grizzlies, especially in early August, is to visit Hyder, AK. It's a long drive from anywhere, but a great place for bears and eagles. The Forest Service has built a raised boardwalk for human use, overlooking the creek where the bears come. You are within 50 feet, but quite safe.
