Love them! Hope you were using the 100-400, at 400mm WITH the 1.4x!! haha Nice work!

With some I was using the 120-300 with the 2x, with others the 100-400 with no TC. The first one, I had the 100-400 at 150mm...he was about 25 yards from me.

Looks as if he was getting you scent in the frist one too. 25 yds = too close for me!

Well, these are young, agressive immature males. They're the only ones who come close to the roads in Yellowstone, those and females. The big ones mostly stay in the backcountry away from people. Though we did see a huge male on top of a hill near Lake Yellowstone on our last day there. (Didn't get any good pics as he refused to turn around.)
