These were shot at the Florida Theater in Jacksonville Fl. I shot around 600 pictures during dresss rehersal and the actual show. Using a DRebel and mostly a 85 1.8 and 800 ISO, 200-250, 2.2-2.5
I used Neat Image to remove some noise and some other adjustments. Thanks for looking

Nice shots shybull. It is pretty difficult shooting in those lighting conditions. I posted some that I shot at my wife and daughter's dress rehearsal last night.

I like the ones that you have with the lights on the stage backdrop. It seems that would make things a little easier.

I saw your pics Travis. The exposures look real good. Your horizon is a little crooked. I usually have to straighten mine too. My daughter has been dancing for 14 years and I'm so happy having digital. Before when I'd shoot I couldn't make any adjustments to the photo after the fact because I didn't have a dark room. Now using Photshop really helps. We have dance competition in Daytona next week so that'll be a bunch more photos. If I'm allowed to take pictures.

Thanks shybull for looking at my pictures also. I think that what you are seeing as a crooked horizon is actually the way that they have this particular floor painted. It goes from natural wood to purple (school colors) and it isn't painted in a straight line across the floor.

The actual recital is tonight and tomorrow night, so I will have to keep that in mind though. Just in case I am not remembering correctly;) .

Travis
