I think it's a katydid? I haven't seen one personally but I have seen similar pictures here.

Scudder's Bush Katydid, the cutest and most adorable bug around :D . This one is pretty much a baby, it will hang around the area where you found it until it is grown up (very convenient for photographers ;)) and almost triple in size before they get wings. Check out my post on the growth of a katydid ;)

BTW, it's a great pic! I love all that green :)
