Bold Hummingbird Moth

This moth was knocking ten bells out of the flower, it was all over the place with no chance of a shot so I held the stem still while I got off a shot;
it didn't seem to phase the moth at all.

He's not very shy

Great pics Mick, I love the inclusion of the hand in the first image, It really gives the moth a sense of scale, looks like you got the shutter speed perfect too - and with only one hand.

Impressive work, very sharp, the first one is my favorite. You are right, they do not sit still at all.

You guys are so blessed! The ones over here fled the moment they saw you. And so far I only saw 2 Nice catch! The first one is excellent!!

Thanks for the comments, I'm really glad I bought the Pro1; it's an excellent little camera and doesn't take up much room when I go on my little rides.
