I was walking around the Nature reserve taking shots of birds and adders and these little guys kept feasting upon me so thought it rude not to take a couple of shots of one of them

The eyes are the gateways to the soul? I think that's correct, 'cos this fly is evil!:evil: Hope you didn't get bitten too many times.

Very cool pics though, I prefer the lighting in the second one :)

Bea's right, those are definitely evil eyes, looks like it could give you a nasty nip. Nice clear sharp shots, well done.

Lovely captures- think it's a deer fly- have wonderful eye colour as well as painfull bites.
