Greetings from the dry heat of Arizona! This morning I noticed that my neighbor's cactus had sprouted a few flowers. I had to stand on tippy-toe (and I'm 6'2") to get a decent shot of this guy over the wall. I got some decent shots but something is missing and I can't put my finger on it. Any thoughts? Suggestions?
Thanx!
You have a wonderful castus blossom and it has lots of potential. I find the white areas around the blossom quite distracting. I first removed the blossom from the backround with the magnetic selection tool in PS Elements 3 and created a new all black backgound. I slightl merged the blossom edges into the background and then changed the lighting using the soft omni lighting effects filter. It was primarily the white in the backgound that IMO was the problem. Hope you are not offended with my changes. Regards Reigh
