Hi, I am new here, and though I am not as good as most I thought I would share my first decent macro shot. I didn't even relize there were 2 until I went to edit it. I am still new to photography and just recently bought a canon s2 to begin with, I still have yet to buy a tripod, which I can't wait to do cause I know my shots will come out clearer without my hand shake. Well I hope you guys like it, and any comments or suggestions are more then welcome, the more I know the better I can be...or at least thats what I hope.

I had to use the link cause everytime I tried to post the picture it was too big to even fit on the screen, and now it just seems too small, sorry. If someone knows how to fix that please let me know, thanks.

That's a lovely shot! What photo editing software are you using?

I just downloaded a free trial of photoshop, though I have NO idea what I'm doing with it. We used it in school, but that was years ago and things have advanced quite a bit since then. The only things I really did was add the frame (which I already forgot how to do) and take away a little distortion, I'm sure once I really figure out the program I will be able to make it that much better. Thanks for the comment I appreciate it.

You'll want to bookmark this guy's site, not just this tutorial:

That will get you started and you can definitely add a lot a pizzaz in post processing! Check out his main page for the "Understanding..." articles on various subjects. I just found it today and I've learned alot.

Thanks I will look into it. I'm so excited about the program would really like to understand it better, and of course buy it as soon as my trials over since I'm sure they leave some editing options out of the trial.
