It is really gratifying to see "one of our own" get due recognition. You know, you begin to feel like you know folks on this forum, and I am as proud as can be that you got published. Congrats!

Thank-you guys...... what a NICE bunch of people to be associated with.

It is a lot of fuss over a silly little photo but many thanks to all who stopped to leave a comment and take a look!

I am at work tonight and it was scheduled for delivery this evening. I suspect it will be on the table when I get in in the morning.

We'll have to compare notes after we figure out how to use the darn thing.:D :D

Well, after having the 30D, it can't be too much of a mystery. This is gonna sound stupid (he should have done his research), but other than FF vs. 1.6x, what does the 5D have as far as features that the 30D does not? (excluding IQ or MP) I know about the "invisible focus points". Any other major thing that's "omg awesome!"?

Well, the parameters are not the same. You can adjust the setting differently in each of the modes.... I was reading about it on a Canon info site. Looks like a bit of a difference in settings but not too terribly complicated. I hope.

I am anxious to see how my 85/1.2 and my 135/2.0 lenses do on this camera.

Whoa...when did you get the 85L? I didn't even notice. You'll love it!

As for the parameters/picture styles, how do you mean "different"? Different from the 20D, or from the 30D, too? I know the 30D settings were different than the 20D. Noticeably so.

Sorry about the delay...am at work and busy for a while. Look at the Canon review site..... it's quite interesting to see the differences.

P.S. Got the 85 last Feb. LOVE IT!

Congrats, Maureen! I saw that picture in Parade this weekend, but I didn't notice that was your name with it.

My name is Lonnie, but I answer to Thomas too.

Maureen's a true celebrity now. It's official because she actually got paid. And the 5D is going to be so much fun. Are you sure Skip won't want his own?

Way to go Maureen! That's really awesome. It's not a "silly little photo." It's fantastic -- and you deserve the kudos!!!

Now throw Skip a bone and sign his copy (just this once)!

Maureen,

I'm jealous, happy for you, and really think you should autograph Skips' copy!

Take care,
Harry
