Was walking around the Rhododendron Garden here in Portland- saw these huge yellow flowers. As I was standing there considering how to take a shot of them-- this butterfly came over my head and landed right in front of me! Lifted camera and fired two shots- then noticed the meter in the viewfinder-ARGHHH- railed to the right from the previous shot in dimmer conditions! Spun the dials to center the meter and shot two more- away it goes!
The butterfly itself is kind of underwhelming against these huge bright flowers(don't have a clue what they are) but I feel lucky to have had it appear for me that day.
