I really really like that. Great lighting and beautiful backdrop. The only thing I can point out is the black/brown line in her hair.

How did you acheive this?

It's a great portrait, love the sharpness and also the gradient background. Also would like to know how you set it up.

Thanks!

This shot was actually done rather quickly on location and very simple. I used a Savage Charcoal Paper background and my Elinchrom RX's, one with a shoot though, one with a silver umbrella, and the other with barn doors for the paper. Camera used was my MkIIn with the 70-200L IS mounted. Shot was handheld.

PP included some work on the the eyes (USM in a second layer, blended back) and a little Noise Ninja overall to smooth it out.

Thank you :) I started shooting with a 35mm when I was 8 years old, I did it on and off for a number of years. Today I shoot professionally for Gibson Guitar's Artist Relations and a number of artists and publications. I rarely, however, shoot the 'ol portrait. Hence, the post. :)

I really like it except for the back part of her hair where it meets her blouse. That looks photoshopped to me. In fact, the whole back side of her hair looks touched up. Aside from that, it's really very nice.
