Not sure exactly what this insect is, though it was very, very small (this is shot at about 1.5x life-size on a crop camera, so you can tell how tiny). Shot with my 50 f/1.8 with all 3 extension tubes on (68mm extension). Off-camera flash used (optical slave trigger). I took this shot in Germany about two months ago, just before moving back to the US.

Thanks! It was really hard to get a decent shot, as my tripod was packed away (I was moving, and the tripod was already in my luggage.) This was shot on a very tiny blossom on a shrub in my old backyard. The flower was about an inch across, all told.
