eagles, ducks, mink this weekend

I do not go to ZOO to take photographs of animals. I go to where they belong-in the wilderness.

I took my new 30d first time on my typical weekend canoeing trip. I do not think I will do it again - it is just too time consuming to get it out when I need it. And, I typically need to react very first. Deer, mink, wild hogs, and all other wildlife I see from the canoe do not want to wait till I open my Pelican case and get the camera out.

Anyway, I am new to this camera, so please be gentle. Also take into consideration that these photos were taken from the moving canoe with 3 Jack Russell terriers in it:

these all look quite nice. i was in the boundary waters recently and know how you feel about pulling the camera out of the case. I eventually just stuck it in a plastic bag and sat it on my back pack for easy retrieval. all in all i thought the images were worth it.
