...to useable reversed-lens macro shots. For thie life of me though I cannot work out the DOF. It is nearly pitch-black in the viewfinder, yet the DOF is still way too shallow!
Anyways, this is what I have so far. They look pretty bad, and the detail isn't there at all, but I think it is a step in the right direction. There are all uncropped (resized) or nearly uncropped.
Here is a mosquito that tried to feast on me:
![]() | HTTP response: NOT FOUND | MIME changed to 'image/png' |
This is a fly whose head got cut off in the picture (uncropped. Just resized):
![]() | HTTP response: NOT FOUND | MIME changed to 'image/png' |
And finally, here is a another, smaller fly whose compound eyes came out pretty focused (too bad nothing else did). Again, nearly uncropped:
![]() | HTTP response: NOT FOUND | MIME changed to 'image/png' |
Thanks for looking. I know there aren't very good shots at all, but I keep feeling this urge to go out and take shots with the reversed lens anyways. Eventually I hope to get workable reversed lens shots. Until then, I just have to keep experimenting!
