#1 a little wildflower ~ 12mm across

The blue on the balloon flower is so intense! Your snaps are different than here too--slightly rosier than ours. I guess it is the differences in the soil/climate?

We have greenhouses and the variations intrigue me...

Nice ****s, I agree with misskity about the Blue its lovely #1 is a gorgeous little flower, any idea what it is ??

Thanks for your kind comments. I am not sure what these flowers are, just some bedding plants my wife put in.

No boost to contrast or satuartion, just shot on an overcast day which helps the colour, watch exposure to make sure one of the red or blue channels don't saturate. I had a polarisor on also but it didn't seem to do much that day.

Like #1 and 3 - not mad about #2 beause of the oof flower in the BG. Think #3 is a Campanula of some sort.

Nice pictures, Lester! Love the first and third (that one really pops!). Not too fond of the second one, but for a different reason than Brian: these flowers have a lot going on and need an even bg (like in #4) to complement them and show them off. They get lost in a busy bg. I like the oof one ok though.
