woah there's no focus stacking in these shots..............are you feeling ok Brian?
the fly is my fave of the bunch

Definitely not feeling ok- hence the Dr Jekyll reference (Jekyll&Hyde).
Not only not focus stacked but large apertures as well- narrow DOF ERK !

Lovely shots Brian, I take it natural light used with these, and the Sigma 105 + tubes?

Dave

PS I just checked the EXIF and it confirmed my suspicions!

Thanks Dave
Yes natural light with the 105mm but no tubes.

These are are unbelievably wonderful, in color, focus and especially presentation! I have been researching a macro lens lately ...I see you have the sigma 105...can I assume you used it on these shots?? If so, my search for a lens has ended !.. If not then it looks like I better start saving ...

Nice shots !.. I like the dragonfly ones the most, due to the colors and difussed background. The fly is pretty good, but I am eating a sandwich as we speak, and there happens to be a fly somewhere in this room.

Thanks Peachman
Yes these were taken with the sigma 105mm EX. Great lens like all the maro lenses around 100mm (Tamron 90, anon 100, sigma 105) also worth thinking about getting a set of kenko extension tubes with it, although I was n't using extension tubes for these shots.
