got volunteered to shoot a promotion at my husbands work-used the 18-55 and had some nice results, I was limited with space, so I opted with the 18-55 and shot around 24mm..

missed focussed slightly, but I still like it.

i have not used my kits lens in a while...i questioned myself on why i stopped using it...im in love with my kit lens again. :)

Shot at 55mm at the Washington Capitals game on Feb 7th. As you know arena lighting isnt good for pictures.

I do love the kit lens :) When I go to Disney I usually take the kit lens and the 50mm 1.8 (unless I'm doing Animal Kingdom then I bring the 100-400)
These were all taken with the kit lens.

Took this as the park was emptying out after the fireworks/laser show. I didn't use a tripod but it is a several second exposure...I set the camera on this statue thing they have there and hoped for the best, lol.

And for the other question...this is the kit lens that came with the original digital rebel, the non-IS version.
