Hi everyone, just found this board today and ive been looking over some of your stunning images, there are a lot of talented photographers here for sure :)

I also have a question, i just recently purchased the Panasonic Lumix FZ30 and was wondering what type of lens i should look for to start taking some macro pics?

Im relatively new to digital photography so im still learning all the jargon so any help you can offer would really be appreciated.

Cost wise, im looking to spend no more than $300 if at all possible on the macro lens :)

Looking forward to becoming a regular community member around these parts as well as seeing some more of your wonderul pics :)

Not sure, but there should be macro filter lenses that you can attach to the lens that will help you get closer. Or - you could try buying a 2nd hand older 50mm lens and reversing it and holding it against the Panasonic's lens. Not sure how well that'd go ;)

You can buy a close up filter or I had success with my FZ 30 using the macro function built into the fixed lens on the camera. I was amazed with the images that this lens was able to produce without any added lens. Good Luck!!
