Looks like a new PW Plus II is coming out soon to replace both the PW Plus transmitter and receiver in one package, sort of like a watered down version of the PW MultiMax.

I don't have enough strobes to justify buying any yet...but someday I most likely will. I don't see a point going wireless to just one light. Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Megapixels and high ISO are a digital photographers heroin. Once you have a little, you just want more and more. It doesn't stop until your bank account is run dry.

As we get older the toys just get more and more expensive...... Yeah I do have the L-358 but even so. I can't really justify $50 for the module and $390 for the transmitters. Not right now anyway. For $440 I can swap the cord, 'specially since I only meter once in a while & not for every pop of the flash. Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here

I just took a look at the user's manual for it and it look pretty nifty. Not as versatile as the MultiMax but it does a lot more than the old Plus ever did and for the same price, that's pretty good. Let us know how it works out for you when you get it. ...Leo

EDIT: Am I understanding something....the new PW II only requires ONE unit @ $187.95 to fire both the flash? If so, how does that function? I need no B& listing for a 2 pack like there is/was for the "original" PW EDIT 2: Nevermind. I guess B&H just hasn't bothered to put a kit together [yet]. With the Plus IIs, you really don't need to get a kit because each unit can function as either a transmitter or a receiver. All you'd need to do is buy two Plus II units to get a set. In that respect, now that I think of it, two Plus IIs do cost more than a Plus Tx/Rx set. But the versatility of the Plus II more than makes up for that small difference in price. ...Leo

The kit I'm referring to though is B&H had a little package deal...a trans and a receiver plus wire to connect to the strobe for $350. Not a serious discount but a discount nonetheless. Yes, I knew what you were referring to. Essentially it was just the PW Plus Tx and Rx sold together as a package. The wires already came with the units. That's the package I got when I bought mine from them. But you didn't get a discount by buying the package. (They didn't have the special sale on the package when I bought mine like they just did recently.) It just save you the "hassle" of having to order two item. ...Leo
