This was crawling up the window today. Then it fell off and landed on this yard chair where I started shooting it. I only got 2 decent shots, and I'm not so sure about those. This is the sharpest of the pair. I was shooting at f6.3 with my 100mm macro lens and the 20D's built on flash. The DOF isn't so great to me. I really need some pointers here.
edit; Like what size do I need to use here? I posted this, it was too big. I changed the size there at photbucket, and it was still too big. So, I went into elements changed the size again to 60% and re-uploaded this image. It is still too big isn't it? I also did a little crop and auto contrast adjustment.

I like it! f6.3 is a bit too shallow, try f8 or f11, should be better. But - remember that the DOF with macro is always going to be very minimal, it's the nature of the beast. You got good details in the face and it appears to be very sharp. As to resizing, I usually crop as needed, then resize to the longest dimension being 800 pixels, then use the save for web feature in Photoshop to keep the file size just under 100kb, but as close to it as possible.

Interesting bug :)
As Dave said try shooting around F11 for better DOF and choosing the angle on the bug helps to.
