What are the best settings to use with the following settings on a G6?

f-stop 8.0 aperture, with or without wide-angle lense?
1/2000 on a cloudy or darker day, with the tele-converter lense, sports-wise?
ISO? Aperture? Shutter speed? when shooting fireworks, with tele-converter lense
when shooting a swim meet w/ the 430 EX
shooting a waterfall and getting it in the blurred effect, but not the trees around it

I know these are pretty random, but i'm just curious.
