It was actually completely dark out. I think the streetlamps cause that effect since it was a 30 second exposure. Thanks! It's not much but she's fun to drive and I'm learning a lot about cars as I go along and fix random things that go wrong.

It almost never get correct focus. I've found that if I burst 3 or more shots in a row I can get at least one that's focused properly. I own a magical box that captures light!

Try some test shots with a tripod, mirror lock and timer or shutter release cable. Here's a couple of shots with a tripod and shutter release cable...see how thin the DOF is, now imagine if you or the subject were to move or breath, the photo would look out of focus. f2.8 Gear

Immaculens creeped by the TF.... More info | Jan 13, 2010 08:05 | #6026 So consider f/2.8 or so and more distance between your subject. I'm no pro but I find many photos on this thread in focus on a 'portion' of a pet or person. In some cases its 'artisitc license' I understand. Just an observation anyways. radiohead1984 wrote in post #9384344 ah yes.. it was fairly dark and AF was on. your holden photo came out amazing. do you have a flickr?
