i don't know what i'm doing wrong but i'm having trouble with this lens

see how its only focused on a small area of his face?

i dont know.. i guess i should read my 500D for dummies book.

his nose is in focus the rest is out due to the shallow DOF...

google DOF calculator

Hiya.

No, unfortunately I haven't got it back and i'm going insane without it, the retailer lost my camera, can you believe it? Well they said they're gonna replace it now and the lady I spoke to also said that because they don't have it in stock they're enquiring about availability at the closest currys so I guess they're gonna take another year doing that too.

Losers.

sorry to hear. I don't think I'd go back to that company should you need anything in the future :-(

maybe if they can't get another 450D, maybe they'll upgrade you to the T1i :-)

No it was currys, a big retailer, stores all over UK, i'm just annoyed about the fact that first they lose my camera and then they don't call me when they say they will, I have to keep calling them :@

that's too bad...next time it might be better just to ship it to canon directly...you can skip the middle man, and create a repair slip online

The reason I didn't do that in the first place is because Canon said I need to have a stamped warranty card, but mine was plain :(

Probably didn't call you because they were trying to figure out where your camera ended up, or trying to find a replacement.
