Garry, you welcome to borrow mine if needs be.

Mitesh, that's really generous of you. It won't be long before I get my new one, so I'll pass. Thanks all the same, though; you're a true gent. :)

Wow... what an ordeal you have been thru!

Oh, that's not the half of it. My EF 17-85mm IS USM has packed up completely. Something to do with a cable inside coming loose, I think; something to do with the focusing circuit. The shop (LCE in The Strand in London) wants around £120-150 to fix it. I might just go for a cheaper wide-angle with less range - a Tamron, maybe. Dunno, though, I do like the picture quality I get with the 17-85 despite the horrendous lens creep (yes, he's a good friend of mine ). Plus it's a great walk-about lens.

Thanks for looking at my signature. Most people here just call me Inspeqtor!

I always look at the sig before the username. It's the little personal touches that count, IMO.

Wow, looking at your gear and I wonder why would you bother to sell this for $10... I mean there is this annoying process to sell and ship something... for 10 bucks?? You could just give it to someone for free...

Oh well......

Amazing shots still being added here. I really want to get another one of these. I think I would love it even more now that I have a 40D instead of an XT. If I can just sell this 28-135mm!!

10? That's a very reasonable price. If you have any other gear you want to let go for similar fees, just let me know!

I believe he dropped it and it came apart. Works but no AF. But even at $10 that's still a good price lol.

Great shots, everyone. Counting down the days until I can perfect photos with my Rebel's kit, then jump onto the Nifty bandwagon.

Haha yeah it was $10 to a guy on here, I shipped it for $8.88 lol, made $1.12 hahaha

I'm silly.

But yeah AF was broken so, rather than sit on my nightstand as "art" someone can use it.
