So...I have to ask, is this lens worth it or is it better to save and buy the 1.4?

If you can afford the 1.4, get it, it is supposed to be the better lens, and it is definitely better built, but the 1.8 is a great lens for the money.

Well just bought one lol.

Second hand with faulty AF motor (Works perfect in manual focus mode) - £35

Thought it was worth a try and hopefully in the process I will get better at manual focussing (and using a prime)
