Wouldn't a UV for under $5 ruin the shots?!?
I have $40-$50 UV filters on my other lenses, and have taken test shots with/without the filters and noticed no difference. But I question a $5 filter though? Maybe I am wrong, I am just guessing...
I don't have a UV on my 50 1.8, as the lens is so cheap already, I didn't see the point - and as mentioned, the glass is set back a fair bit.
my 5 dollar UV filter glass is really nice actually, scored quite a deal on a used one. I've noticed no difference in image quality.
