I am going on a two week road trip to Scotland next week. We fly into Glasgow and our eventual destination is the Orkney Islands. I have never been and was wondering if anyone had any "must see" suggestions for the trip. Thanks in avance!

Skara Brae, Yesnaby Cliffs, Ring of Brodgar (particularly at sunset - around ten at night), Maes Howe, Deerness, Italian Chapel.......list goes on - and that's just on the main island.
Enjoy.

Very nice! I wish I'd gone to Scotland and Ireland while I was in Harrogate! I just couldn't afford it (yes, I was actually that broke!)... :-(

Are you visiting Edinburgh? One of my friends who's been there before recommended the Castle and this pub called Finnegans Wake. It's not too far from Glasgow, maybe 50 miles east.

Tina--that's funny b/c that's exactly where I got the idea to post this thread--it was at their suggestion and they have been helping me ever since!

Visit the underground ghost tours in Edinburgh...they're fun. Pity you're not there for longer 'cause the Tatoo's coming up soon - ish.
