That would probably be camera shake not OOF. Just get a faster shutter speed and take more real world shots. Make sure the camera focuses on what you want, select a focus point don't let the camera guess. If you want a slow shutter, get it on a tripod.

got out in the garden again today and tightened up a few settings
light was better too
#1 70mm iso100 f5.6 1/40
#2 33mm iso100 f4.5 1/40
much better than yesterday :)

those shutter speeds are slower than i can handhold this lens and expect good results.

i love it, amazing build, constant f4. it feels great, did i mention amazing build? :D

i will be trading it for a sigma 10-20 only because i feel like that i need the 10mm distortion when i shoot cars. if not, i would definately keep the tokina, as 12mm is already very wide for most applications.
