After viewing several posts over a couple of weeks I have bought a tamron sp 90 macro lens. And I am impressed! I will use this lens a lot and hope to get near to the examples I see on this forum.

These are two of my first shots. On the macleya buds I can see a couple of eggs I didn't spot when watching it, just when processing it.

I am so glad I followed the advise others have been given to go for a longer lens than the 50mm.
