Ok all I am very very new to photography but I really want to get into it. I LOVE seeing all the different styles of work here.

welcome, nice piccies, but you don't have what you own listed. make sure you have a polariser or good nd filter when shooting those flowers during the day, to help even out the shadows and bring out the colours of the flowers. I really like the photo of the little girl. (If you want constructive critique, put it in that thread.) And you should go to your local library, and get books and magazines on photography, they are full of helpful stuff.

thank you for replying. Yes I plan to take a course in photography and also get some books. We are just about to move so I havent had much free time for reading right now.

I have a Rebel XT with the kit lens.
I am about to buy this lens Canon Zoom Wide Angle-Telephoto EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Image Stabilizer USM Autofocus Lens.

Good shots of the flowers in the first two shots, the light and shadows work beautiful here showing lovely colours.
It's a nice photo of the little girl and good reflection and snow and fern go very well together. Well done.

Welcome, and really nice shots. I like the second flower shot, although in the first one there is no sense of depth, in the second the shadows play differently, giving it some sense of depth.
I also liked the photo of your little girl, just saw the reflection on the table, and thought maybe in the future you can play with that, if she is actually closer to the surface.
This forum is so good about helping with issues. I say that because I have learned from it just as much as I have from any boss or 'teacher' I've had. May your experience here be just as good as mine !!!...
