After lurking around on here collecting information, which I have thoroughly enjoyed, I got the Tamron 28-75 f2.8. I liked it so much I let you guys talk me into the Canon 100-400L. So here I am waiting for the Fed-Ex delivery guy, again. And it looks like he's late. What do you do while your waiting for a new lens? I already updated my signature.

Jack, I live my life. Get over it. Move on. It'll arrive when it's ready. Don't waste time. Do something useful.

How many people are going to admit that they sit in front of the computer for that entire 3-5 days and repeatedly press F5 on the UPS tracking screen until their finger bleeds?

Yes...I take pictures when I'm not working. That, or video games.

People actually do that?

Hey Tony, thanks for the help, but your too late. I could have used some of the excuses a couple of days ago when I told her. Some examples wouldn't have hurt either. Actually it didn't go as bad as I thought. I just won't get any Birthday or X-Mas presents for a couple of years that's all. She called it a compromise, I called it a deal, and put in the order

What kind of help is that condyk? I know what I should do, but I just can't tear myself from the house. What if the delivery guy comes when I'm not here. Then I would have to track him down, and those trucks can be hard to locate without tracks to follow.:)

Not only will I admit it, I'm doing it right now. I thought I might be the only one that was as bad as that, I guess not.

Actually, today I wish I would have been working(Did I just say that?) that way I would have had something to do with my time. My wife would have been home to get the package anyway. She wouldn't have returned it, at least I don't think she would do that. I guess it is not going to show until Monday. I had hoped for an early delivery. I will have to find something to do, or I will be a raving lunatic by then. No comments on the last remark either.

JackI just bought a canon 70-300 IS, a friend of mine is also selling his week old canon 100-400L for $1350, Is it worth it even if I got the canon 70-300 already?

Geez gembherds, that is a good question, the same one I was faced with. I'll let you know after I get mine. It isn't going to get here until monday. I have a cheaper version of the 70-300, a Quantary, most of the information that I saw on here said to stay away from the Quantary lens. Mine is pretty good. I have taken some really good shots with it. I just want a little more reach and to have the IS. I want to make up my own mind if the extra money is worth it. I figure I won't waste very much money if the lens isn't all it's cracked up to be. I can always sell it here and not lose that much on the deal. That's my rational, and part of my begging and pleading strategy for the wife also. It worked on her, what do you think?
