Hi. I've been snapping dragons, damsels and butterflies for a while but only just found this great forum. I'm not up to the levels of the true macro buffs here, but I hope you like these anyway by way of introducing myself.
They're large red damselfly and broad bodied chaser dragonfly.
Cheers,
eccles.

welcome to the forums....
nice shots
the damsel is my fave of the 2 as it's showing its face
on the second i'd have moved round to the left a bit for a better angle on the wings

Great shots, there is nothing easy about dragons and damsels.

Thanks for the comments, all. @Chemicalbro, understand what you mean but I think a subject is a bit more interesting if you can see a bit of shadow to give it depth. Dragonflies are a bit like butterflies in that they perch face on to the sun to get to working temperature. But each to their own. :)
@Lester, yes, they can often be very skittish, but they're fascinating creatures though. I'm green with envy over LordV's set with the bluetailed damselfly having its dinner. The man must have awesome patience to go with his macro skills.

I'm always amazed by the intricacy of dragon- and damselfly wings, you show this well.
