Nice shots Brian, I note the masking on the male non biting midge in #1 and #2? I managed to get a shot of one of these the other day, not as good, or as detailed or as close as your image though, since I'm only working at 1x...

Dave- I actually manually focus stacked the first one and my LCD monitor is lousy at displaying shades of black so there may well be some masking differences :)
Mind you I can see them in #2 now you have mentioned it :oops:
