Jul 01, 2006 17:12 | #1 I'm doing a summer project here with biocontrol of Eurasian watermilfoil, an aquatic invasive species. I took my camera with me one day to attempt a macro shot of the weevils (Euhrychiopsis lecontei)on a stem.  I took another shot of the adventitious roots of the milfoil. These are pretty crazy. Free floating fragments of the plant can shoot out new roots from any leaf node, and if they are able to contact any soil, they can start a new plant.  Paul
