Equipment is a simple Fuji digital camera so not really macro, just close ups but I think they're ok. The first is a speckled wood sitting on a nettle leaf and the second a small heath on spotted orchid.

Wow, both really nice shots especially the first one. They look like they've got some quite nice detail too. :D

Thanks Andrew. After seeing some of the jaw dropping macro shots here I wondered whether I was in the right league!
As for the detail level, I've printed the first on A4. The original is cropped to about 75% and it bears close scrutiny quite well but I wouldn't crop it much more. Not sure about the second. I just grabbed it from today's shots and posted it.
