Lads and ladies ... we all like shooting in our urban wonderlands but I do wonder if we are getting a tad dull and forgeting we have colour and bright light to play with.

Look, we all love the factory B&W stuff until the Cows come home, but an urban bloke or bird (trans: man and woman) cannot live on McDonalds alone. We need some food and the photographers staple fare is spiced up oh so often with a tad of colour.

So, this is a thread about colourful urban shots. Any topic you like, from Birdies (no Duckies tho!!!!!) to Glamour, Still Life to Graveyards. Do your best ... or even your worst will do.

Here's my contribution taken today ...

Very nice purple. Actually purple is my favourite colour. :) So, anything goes as long as it's urban and colourful?

This is part of a very large (nearly 100ft high) sculpture that sits on a tiny little wedge of public land that is bordered by a Home Depot parking lot, a freeway, and a busy city street.

No such thing as "urban" around here so I guess I'm stuck with the suck.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)
