I believe it must be tiring and demanding job. You can't move, and tourists can be very annoying as well. On the other hand it's very prestigious job. Almost every country has its own Tomb of The Unknown Soldier and in my opinion it's a honour to serve is such a place.

Their uniform is following the traditional clothes worn during the time of Independence - 1821, skirt, hat, shoes. The cloths of the guards posted here are the summertime uniforms from the Balkan Wars - WWI (1912-13 and later).
On Sundays noon there is also a parade where they are wearing the original 1821 white uniforms.
