I think we all have some 'duh' shots somewhere.

I find the best thing is to set my camera back to known settings (including ISO 100) as soon as I stop using it, and I check my histogram and related information as frequently as I can when I'm shooting. The wrong ISO shows up fast enough during chimping, if I don't spot it from the shutter speed in the viewfinder display.

Remeber those cars that talked to you... "The door is ajar." Maybe we could ask Canon for a talking camera... "The ISO is at 1600."
