Went out at lunch for what was meant to be five minutes looking around the garden...decided to check a usual haunt after a moments hesitation, sure glad I did. I spotted this beauty out of the corner of my eye, at first I thought it was a moth, but closer inspection showed that it wasn't. She was very hard to coax out of her hiding spot (nestled behind 3 different leaves), but some gentle coaxing got her out for a few shots so that I could immortalise her! I'm pretty positive it's a female, she was huge, easily approaching 12mm or so. The largest jumper I've seen yet. I'm also pretty sure that I've identified her with my new Australian spiders book - it's a female Opisthoncus necator. They're reasonably common but little is known about them it seems. This image and the crop is from my 2nd outing about 15 minutes after my first series of shots. My first series of shots had her with a kill - this is a first for me, so I was particularly excited when seeing the images on the PC. I'll post those images sometime tomorrow
Anyways, onto the images.

I also managed to capture a fly on Saturday blowing bubbles, haven't really processed any images yet (sorry guys, Oblivion has sucked me in lol).
Cheers,
