I am pround owner of canon powershot G2 since May 2003 and I'm new in this forum. Never had problem with anything. Last week when I was taking photos, it was working well. I think I held the camera while pressing the menu button too long. After that when I push the shoot button, it did not work. I switched off the camera and turned it back on, but the problem is the same. Battery is fully charged. I'm having these problems with my camera.

1. In Auto Mode, When I turn on the camera, I can take photos, but when I press the zoom button, whether zooming in or out, it goes all the way only zoom in, and then shoot button does not work. Camera gets stuck, nothing works. Otherwise I am able to take photos just after turning the camera on.

2. To press the Menu Button, menu does not appear on the LCD at all.

3. In Replay Mode, the arrow key button does not work at all. Picture does not go forward or backwards at all.

4. Delete button does not work at all. In other modes, camera does work fine.

In short, when the camera is turned on, I can take photos but the zoom does not work as it should and menu does not appear in LCD.
Any suggestions and help will be greatly appreciated please.

I'd look at taking it to a repairer, I doubt with all those issues someone will have a miracle free fix for it, sorry! :(
