Landed right in front of me

So I took the picture. Had the 100 macro on the camera, but unfortunately had the DoF set shallow. Still, I feel very lucky!

Love the shot...I do wish the rest of the wing was in focus as you said but still, great picture.

Personally, I much prefer available light shots for butterflies rather than flash. If that means a bit of fuzzing of wingtips then it's a small price to pay.
