Now that its summer and lots of bugs are out I thought I would give macro a try, (its very humbling to enter this forum, so many excellent posts).

Excellent shots of an interesting bug. I assume #2 is a crop- it's a little noisy.

Thanks Brian, yes it is a crop, I need lots of practice to get to where I can use extension tubes with the macro lens.

Thanks Gordon you're right it is not a reduvid bug, just looked it up in my bug book it is in the family Coreidae and it is a leaf-footed bug.
