Can you tell us about the rig you used for these ... your 100mm?

The butterfly colours are great and sharp, the greenery is a little red perhaps, but a maybe that is how it really is.

Love these shots.

Not sure about European subspecies but I think the princess is a prince. Having said that, these are probably the best shots of common blue I have ever seen. Absolutely stunning.
