Hiya Brian,
Nice shots as always that Hover looks like its suffering from bad case of Anorexia, never seen the like of it before & I love the #2 of the plant bug nymph, I think the smaller these critters are the more interesting they become, no chance to shoot here today as its bucketing down but at least its cooler.

I am a newbie to macro work, and have a 70-200L plus kenko tubes arriving tomorrow. Would you ming writing a quick few words about how you got these shots ?? How did you focus, did you use a tripod, what lens were you using etc etc ??

I've been told the hoverfly is quite common but tends to fly around in the undergrowth so it's not often spotted.
