5D doesn't focus well in low light? That doesn't sound right, does it? Being the "champion of high ISO performance" and all. I'm not into full frame anyway. 1.3 is a good compromise between the two extremes.

I would replace my 20D third/backup body with a 5D but I have heard that they don't focus well in dim light which is a must for me. I think that the couple was wrong about the 1D II's colors - yes, they were probably more subdued out of the camera (mine were), but they can be adjusted both in-camera and post-processing. I do like the 5D's color rendering better, but it isn't a big difference, and certainly not a non-correctable one. Perhaps the "N" version of the 1D2 with picture styles has color/contrast/brightness selection more like that of the 5D. Tom

I am so convinced about the 1D series that I am looking to buy a 1D. But you can trade your 5D for a 1Ds here http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/420062#3589875 Well, sure if you want to look at it on paper. But then you can say a 1D series is just a "pro" 20/30D if you want to. And the 20/30D is a suped up 350D. Go UCLA
