Ernie's '69 Firebird 462 has a 6:71 Supercharger, Edelbrock heads, Kinsler fuel injection. The Turbo 400 trans & Dana 60 4.10 rear end deliver 525bhp to the rear wheels which translates to 11.20 sec & 125 mph in street tune.

Ernie bought it for $850 20 years ago & puts on about 400 miles a year.

Thanks guys. He was there again last night along with 274 other cars!

nice but look a bit too "bright"

Could be. White cars are hard to get "right" & my monitor has run out of adjustments for brightness, so I guess a bit. Prints come out OK, so I haven't replaced it. I probably should do it soon, as they won't be making CRTs for much longer.

Great series Frank....the reflection of the intake on the hood in the third shot is very good.

why does he need wheelie bars to run 11's?

Did you miss this, which translates to 11.20 sec & 125 mph in street tune. These guys drive them every day, & generally don't race them. + "Turbo Blue" costs $5.50 a gallon last I heard? ;)

rwhp is after drivetrain loss

Good point, Nino, but I think I'm already pushing the limits & rwhp to most the guys here is about like talking about DOF to a car guy? :D

Thanks for the comments to both of you!

Great shots of one very mean looking machine. The whites look ok to me BTW, if you had exposed more for them you would have lost to much shadow detail IMHO.
