my first time seeing a praying mantis...:D spotted this fellow while i was hunting high and low for a white-throated kingfisher bird....
immediately took out the 500d and mount it on my 400mm.... shot it handheld...fullframe..​.
took 4 shots and only managed to get a so-so shot.... couldn't use the tripod due to its awkward position...:rolleyes:
