can you please let us klnw what lens you were shooting with. I am in the market for equipment and phot's on this site help me determine what to get.

Thats very kind of you Wayne.

I normally shoot insects with the 100mm f2.8 Macro USM or MP-E 65mm. For more nervouse insects I might use the 100mm with a 2X TC on occasion.

For damselflies I normally use the 300mm f4 IS with ~36mm of extension tubes, for dragons (like these) 300mm with 25mm of extenstion tubes if any. Butterflies I have only limited sucess with probably due to not stalking at the right time of day, but the recent ones I happend to snap with the 300mm + 1.4X as I was shooting ducks really. Also can be a good lens for isolating flowers from the background.
