First time Drangonfly shots

Hello everyone... This is my first time shooting dragonflies and thought Id post what I captured to see what you think. I dont have an actual macro lens, but used my 28-135 IS in macro mode to capture these. C&C welcome. I have no idea what species they are but they allowed me to get close enough with my limited capabilities on my 20D. Slightly cropped (not much tho) and slight color correction.

I really like #2

Great shots, I like #3 most.
I think #1 is a Black-tailed Skimmer, Orthetrum cancellatum, male assuming they are the same as the UK dragons. Don't know #2.

if you have the kit lens you might try it with some cheap extension tubes -its pretty good close up.

Odd about preferences. I prefer # 1. A good attempt for starters with imaginative framing of the subjects, but not sure about the colour correction, expecially #2 appears overdone to me.
