just needs the fly to be a bit sharper. I'm reading 238mm , 1/250, no flash fll. You might struggle with sharpness if using longer tele zoom.

OK, maybe that is why I am beating my brains out and not getting sharpness! Yeah, a dedicated macro is on my list of things to buy soon as I can. I am thinking the 60mm or Sigma 150. The 60 is better for handholding which is a big concern for me.

I know a lot of you PP your images too. I only use Photoshop to resize. I play with it some but my biggest goal is to nail the shot I want with *the* camera instead of relying on Photoshop to fix it for me.

Tell me: how do you guys pull the exif from images like that? Other than saving them and opening them in something like Photoshop?

I cant read exif in PS 6 but can paste images in Paint Shop Pro 9 and read exif there. I would definitely go for the 60 of those two as the 150 is heavy and hard to get sharp images at 1:1 hand held. 60 is excellent portrait lens too. I dont do much pp but you will need to use unsharp mask after resizing - try something like 150 / 0.3 / 0 if using PS

Maybe I should have ordered that pixie dust from that spammer...

One huge advantage of having greenhouses in your family is an endless supply of bugs to chase. Also, we encourage birdies as they eat bugs and they really don't harm anything. Getting to watch the nests being built, couting the eggs as they are laid then waiting for them to hatch is super cool. Oh, and that thing your mama always told you about never touching a bird's nest or the mama would leave is not true! We handle the babies daily when we water the plants-- you cap your hand down over them to keep them dry. This little birdie is living in the squash that we should have dumped a long time ago but since she moved in I guess we will keep trying to keep them alive enough to give her some shade until the babies leave :)

Ah, ok. I always thought that photobucket was compressing images and making them fuzzier instead of just being from resizing. Well, it is probably both but that gives me a little control over it. I will do that with the next images I resize, thanks!

The 60 is sounding more and more like the better choice for me! And it is cheaper too, which is a big plus.
